TEATRO REGIO
It is one of the main Italian temples of opera, and of music in general, since its construction in the 18th century.
The reference for lyrical music in Piedmont and without a doubt one of the main Italian operatic temples. The premiere of Puccini's La Bohème was given here in 1896, in the presence of King Vittorio Emanuele II. Destroyed by a fire in 1936, only its façade is original and dates back to 1738. The theatre was completely renovated in 1973. The musical season is a must for the people of Turin, who always go there with a real passion to see ballets, hear old or recent operas and music recitals.
