AL BICERIN
Temple of the eponymous drink, one of Turin's specialities, which has existed since 1763, opposite the Sanctuary of the Consolata.
Is it the delicious recipe for its legendary eponymous drink that has turned Al Bicerin into a cult venue? The Turinese craze for this coffee, chocolate and milk cream delicacy(bicerin in Piedmont dialect means "little glass") was so strong that the drink ended up lending its name to the café itself. The small room, inaugurated in 1763, retains the atmosphere of the town of yesteryear, with its wood panelling and mirrors on the walls, marble tables, velvet banquettes and sweets displayed as if they were precious jewels.
