The first historic headquarters of the Cottolengo, the voluntary institutions present worldwide, named after their founder, Saint Giuseppe Benedetto Cottolengo. Born in 1786, this holy man founded here the Casa della Divina Provvidenza (the house of Divine Providence), a structure dedicated to helping the poor and sick. She still hosts many faithful who go there to honour the saint.
