Gothic church in Turin preserving beautiful frescoes after a restoration in the early twentieth century.
An annex of the Dominican convent, San Domenico is the only surviving example of a Gothic church in Turin, with a red-brick façade. Built in the first half of the 14th century, it was altered several times before finally recovering its original appearance after restoration in the early 20th century. The interior is splendid, with magnificent frescoes, some dating back to the 14th century. It is said to have been a stronghold of the Inquisition at the time of the witch-hunt...
