CHIESA DELLA GRAN MADRE DI DIO
Church of neoclassical style after the bridge Vittorio Emanuele I and preceded by statues of women.
Facing Piazza Vittorio Veneto, to which it is linked by the Vittorio Emanuele I bridge, this neoclassical church was built between 1818 and 1831 to celebrate the return of the House of Savoy after the Napoleonic period. It is preceded by the statue of Vittorio Emanuele I and two statues of women, representing Religion and Faith, which, according to esoteric beliefs, indicate the presence in Turin of the Holy Grail... The dome is inspired by the Pantheon.
