Royal Armory housing the richest collections of weapons in the world.

One of the richest collections of weapons in the world, exhibited in the left wing of Palazzo Reale. Intended and inaugurated by Charles-Albert in 1837, it preserves a unique collection of edged weapons, firearms and armour from the 12th to the 19th century, including the arms of the grunts of Emperor Napoleon. The museography, which is staged, has not really changed through the ages: along the impressive Beaumont Gallery are lined up, imposing, the stuffed horses of the Savoy in parade harnesses.

J'y suis allée plus pour les fresques et les chevaux et je n ai pas été déçue. Jamais je n'ai vu une telle perfection dans un travail de taxidermie. Les armures sont superbes également et que dire de la salle elle même. C est une pure merveille.

Une collections d'armes de tous types superbe. La galerie comprenant des chevaux empaillés et harnachés avec leurs chevaliers en armure dessus est particulièrement impressionnante. L'armurerie est située dans un palais baroque magnifique. Les lieux valent à eux seul le coup d’œil. L'armurerie se visite avec l'ensemble des musées royaux. Un incontournable.
