Church with impressive Baroque interior decoration, in memory of the miracle of the Body of Christ in 1453.

The church of Corpus Domini was built by Ascanio Vitozzi in 1603, in memory of the miracle of the Body of Christ that took place here in 1453. Legend has it that French soldiers passing through Turin were preparing to sell the goods they had looted from the fort of Exilles in the wheat market square on the feast day of Corpus Domini. As one of their bags toppled over, a host contained in a chalice did not fall to the ground, but remained suspended, surrounded by light. The impressive interior decor is typical of the Baroque period.
