GALLERIA SUBALPINA
Exceptional gallery lined with balconies on the first floor with a bookshop of old books.
Inaugurated in 1874, this exceptional gallery takes its name from the Banca Industriale Subalpina, which financed its construction. Superb, lined with wrought-iron balconies on the upper floors, it is 50 metres long and 18 metres high. The marble structure is topped by a glass and iron roof, which has recently been restored. Here you'll find, among others, the famous Caffè Baratti & Milano, an antiquarian bookshop (Antiquaria Gilibert), the Romano cinema (Turin's oldest) and the Arcadia restaurant. At Christmas time, the decorations are magical!
