CASTELLO DELLA CONTESSA ADELAIDE
Medieval castle transformed into a municipal museum exhibiting archaeological pieces.
From the top of its rock, the castle was once the residence of the Savoy family and of the most emblematic historical figure of the city of Susa, Countess Adelaide, who gave birth to the Savoy dynasty in Italy by marrying Oddone in 1046. She also acted as regent for her sons. The medieval castle now houses the municipal museum, which was completely renovated in 2017, exhibiting archaeological finds and including an interpretation centre of the territory.
