CHIESA SAN GIOVANNI BATTISTA DE SAUZE D'OULX
Church with a gothic bell tower housing a decorated altar and a marble baptismal font.
Built in 1532, this church illustrates the various artistic influences between the 15th and 17th centuries. A solid Romanesque building is combined with a slender, elaborate Gothic bell tower on which rises a high central spire with an octagonal cross-section enriched by four small triangular arrows. Inside: altar decorated with gold leaf and green marble baptismal font with the coat of arms of the Dauphins de France, a reminder of the time when the valley was French.
