CHIESA DI SANT' EDOARDO
Curious modern church with lambs on the portal.
This curious modern church was commissioned by Giovanni Agnelli, founder of Fiat, who dedicated it to the memory of his son Edoardo, who died in a plane crash in 1935. It remained the private property of the Agnelli family until 1991. The altar is supported by an alabaster column dating from the 1st century and coming from the Vatican. On the portal, lambs can be seen, a clear reference to the name of the Turin family. The seven children of Edoardo Agnelli are also represented. Magnificent Via Crucis, in bronze, by Francesco Messina.
