VALDESIAN QUARTER
Waldensian quarter with a historical museum presenting the history of the Waldensians in the region in the Middle Ages
The Waldensian quarter concentrates its major sites in Via Beckwith: the 1852 temple, the Casa Valdese with the synodal hall, the Waldensian Cultural Centre, its archives and museum, the former boarding school and the college. In 1848, after two centuries of persecution, the Waldensian community was able to settle in Torre Pellice.
Waldensian Historical Museum. A little old-fashioned but complete, it retraces the history of the Waldensians in the region from the Middle Ages to the present day. An ethnographic section illustrates the typical places of daily life of the Waldensians at the beginning of the 20th century.
