RELAIS MONT BLANC HOTEL & SPA
A large chalet offering 51 elegant and comfortable rooms and 26 suites with a magnificent view of Mont Blanc.
This large stone and wooden chalet is a 5-star hotel that has just been awarded the Relais et Châteaux label. It is located at an altitude of 1040 m, close to the ski areas of La Thuile and Courmayeur and its layout resembles that of a mountain hamlet. The hotel is ideal for those who want to combine nature, relaxation (in a luxurious environment) and sport within easy reach in all seasons. The 51 rooms are elegant and comfortable, each with a different style to suit everyone's taste. The 26 suites have a magnificent view of the Mont-Blanc and some even have a private whirlpool bath on the terrace! The hotel offers two restaurants: La Fenêtre, with its intimate and refined atmosphere, has a beautiful terrace with the garden and swimming pool below and the magnificent mountains in the background, and La Cassolette, for the most demanding gourmets. The structure has a panoramic outdoor Jacuzzi, two heated swimming pools (one of which is outdoor), as well as saunas, Turkish baths, sensory showers and beauty treatments..

The ratings and reviews below reflect the subjective opinions of members and not the opinion of The Little Witty.
My huge issue was the food though.
1. The bar and restaurant are shockingly overpriced. 20 Euros for a G&T or a glass of wine is not justifiable. The hotel is located in a small village so it's almost like they'd like to take advantage of their guests who are a captive audience.
2. We asked the hotel manager about neighbouring restaurants and were told they have terrible food, just not recommended - again, that exploitative attitude. But hurrah we have google. So we had 3 outstandingly good dinners in the vicinity, 2 of them in places that were a 5-7 min walk from the hotel
2. The breakfast is included but it's not quite up to the mark for the price we paid per night. The hot menu is good, but the buffet selection is a bit sad and has lots of leftovers from the previous day - not a good look for a 5 star hotel
