Gallo-Roman temple near the ancient road of the Gauls in La Thuile.
A small Gallo-Roman temple(fanum), probably dedicated to a Celtic deity, stands near the ancient Gaul road on the Petit-Saint-Bernard pass, as the Romans were accustomed to maintaining the local cults of populations subjugated by the Empire. On the border between the Valle d'Aosta and Savoie, there's a line of prehistoric megaliths (difficult to date), known as a cromlech, consisting of 46 blocks of stone set 4 metres apart.
