The Résidence Château Royal is a self-catering apartment located in the town of Cogne. The building, whose original tower dates back to the 11th century, is a listed national monument due to its historical importance. Over the centuries, the Residence has been the bishop's palace, then the residence of King Vittorio Emanuele II during his hunts in the former hunting reserve, now the Gran Paradiso National Park. In the early 19th century, it became a hotel, one of the first and most prestigious in Cogne. The Résidence offers a range of apartments, from studios to three-bedroom superior apartments, accommodating up to 7 people. Services include a breakfast bar, laundry facilities with washing machine and iron, and a small fitness center with sauna and Jacuzzi. All apartments have free Wi-Fi access. Covered parking is available nearby, and free parking is available 100 meters away. Prices include towels, heating, electricity and final cleaning (except kitchen, which must be cleaned and tidied). For bookings of at least one week in low season, a meal at La Barme restaurant in Valnontey is offered.
