L'Étoile du Berger is a pretty farmhouse inn housed in a 17th-century wood-and-stone barn, just a few minutes from the famous waterfalls. The rooms and apartment, named after high-mountain animals, are decorated in classic Alpine style with all modern comforts. Many of the objects have historical value or were made by the owners themselves. Don't miss the homemade breakfast, served by the fireplace, and the merende alla valdostana (typical snacks) made with local produce.

Si mangia bene: bel posto, ben ristrutturato, gestori "veri". Quiete, relax, base per gite fra i boschi... a poca distanza dal parto di Sant Orso, raggiungibile in sci da fondo.

La posizione è buona, a poca distanza dalle cascate. La nostra camera era un po' piccola e non così ben dotata: mancava un armadio al piano di sotto e un semplice tavolino (andrebbe bene anche a scomparsa). Un'altra cosa che non mi è piaciuta molto è la colazione: non è molto ricca, mancano per esempio delle brioche e della semplice crema al cioccolato.
