ALPINE BOTANICAL GARDEN PARADISIA
An alpine botanical garden in Valnontey, in the town of Cogne.
Paradisia was founded in 1955 and takes its name from a white lily, Paradies Liliastrum, which grows in alpine meadows and pastures. Valnontey is a perfect location for a botanical collection, thanks to its moderate altitude (1,700 m), soil conformation and exposure, which enable it to reproduce different types of habitat. The Grand Paradis in the background adds to the charm of the place. Over a thousand plant species from the Alps and around the world.
