GAMBA CASTLE
Castle housing the regional museum of modern and contemporary art in Saint-Vincent.
The château houses the regional museum of modern and contemporary art, whose thirteen rooms house over 150 works by local, Italian and European artists. In 1911, the Piedmontese baron Charles-Maurice Gamba had a modern castle built on a rocky spur above the village of Châtillon, but with some older codes. The structure is compact and almost cubic, with four storeys and an irregularly shaped tower. Surrounding the building is a park open to the public, with several centuries-old trees.
