MEDIEVAL VILLAGE OF BARD
A medieval village on the Roman road, a concentrate of historical testimonies.
Bard, a veritable concentration of history, was born on the Roman road and still has its medieval layout. In the central street, under which the Roman Furiana canal runs, renovated 15th- and 16th-century buildings house shops. The houses were built on the Roman walls. The most important residences are those of the Challant family, the Valperga family (with an elegant twin window on the façade), the Urbano family (the ancient mill), the Casa Ciuca (so called because of its "unstable" shape) and the Palazzo Nicole, residence of the last counts of Bard.
