Remarkable waterfalls in Challand-Saint-Victor.
The canyon carved out by the Evançon torrent is interrupted by a sudden 40 m-high waterfall, one of the most spectacular in Valle d'Aosta. A parking area is provided on the road leading up to Challand-Saint-Victor. A little further on, a fairly steep path descends for 20 minutes. Contemplate the waterfall from below. The longest part is still to be done: there's no lift! Another waterfall can be seen from a longer, easier path. From the hamlet of Orbeillaz, follow itineraryno. 31 along the Ru for two hours to the cascade d'Arlaz.
