Stylish Osteria in the Brera district, which boasts the patronage of the writer whose name it bears. This restaurant offers a number of culinary surprises in the warm, friendly atmosphere of a chic brasserie. The famous risotto giallo (with saffron) and Milanese cutlet are exquisite, as are pasta with potatoes, porcini mushrooms and cheese, osso buco and truffle risotto. Flavors harmoniously blended and served with savoir-faire in a very Milanese setting, with a lovely terrace in season.

The service was good up to the point where they brought a bill to us even though we didn’t ask for it while we were still eating. Then they came asking for a payment while we were still finishing our drinks. There were a lot of empty tables and no people waiting outside to be seated, so such a rush with a bill felt a little unnecessary and left an unpleasant impression overall.
