An institution for decades, for fans of generous family cuisine served on a checkered tablecloth.

In the heart of old-world Milan, this small, traditional trattoria defends its authenticity. Two rooms decorated with antique furniture and checkered tablecloths create a traditional atmosphere. A pretty pergola protects the few tables from the summer sun in the small courtyard of the casa di ringhiera (a former working-class dwelling with balustraded balconies). The menu features all the great Milanese specialties, such as the excellent saffron risotto giallo .

Questo ristorante ci ha deluso moltissimo. Non c'era né buon cibo né buon servizio. Il servizio parlava inglese anche se io le parlavo in italiano e lei conosceva l'italiano. La cosa peggiore era il bagno, pieno di urina e senza carta igienica. In queste circostanze i prezzi sono scandalosi per la qualità.

Auténtico restaurante con comida de calidad. Igual tienes que caminar un poco, según donde estés. No está en un lugar muy concurrido, pero vale la pena. Probamos varios platos y todos buenísimos, muy caseros.

Very typical Milanese restaurant, the food was good and the service on top. The antipasti and main dishes were the highlight, would skip the dessert though.
