DIOCESAN MUSEUM
Museum installed on the remains of the ancient cloister of the Basilica of Sant'Eustorgio.
Located on the remains of the ancient cloister of the Basilica of Sant'Eustorgio in the heart of the Parco delle Basiliche, the Museum of the Diocese of Milan houses a rich collection of liturgical objects and paintings. Far from a classical museography, its very contemporary design aims to appeal to a younger public. More than 700 pieces of religious art are conserved there; not to be missed are the paintings on a gold background (15th century) from the Crespi collection, and the interesting sculpted Way of the Cross by Lucio Fontana, known as Via Crucis Bianca.
