From 1503, it is composed of a single nave divided into two parts, the one reserved for the faithful and the one for the sisters of the once annexed female convent. A magnificent and monumental carved wooden choir that shares the church is also to be admired. The decoration of the church was entrusted to Bernardino Luini, and the result is impressive. Every centimetre of its walls is decorated with brightly coloured frescoes.
