BASILICA DI SAN NAZARO MAGGIORE
Church founded by Saint Ambrose and rebuilt after a fire in 1075 in Milan.
Another church founded by Saint Ambrose (4th century) but rebuilt in Romanesque style after a fire in 1075. What is striking inside is the narthex preceding the nave: the mausoleum of the Trivulzio family - governor of Milan during the descent of Louis XII in Italy in 1499 -, it houses the various tombs curiously placed in niches in the middle of the ceiling. A work desired by the descendants in the 17th century. Very beautiful apse, to be admired while walking around the building.
