Church built in 1478, a masterpiece of Renaissance sacred architecture in Milan.
This church built in 1478 is a masterpiece of Renaissance sacred architecture. Bramante's intervention has left us a famous trompe l'oeil. In spite of the limited space (97 cm deep), the famous architect managed to create the illusion of depth in an admirable and surprising way. The octagonal baptistery is also the work of Bramante. The belfry, which dates from the 10th century, is a fine example of the Lombard Romanesque style.
