Built in 1866, its 25,000 m² are home to the sculpted tombs of numerous families of the Milanese bourgeoisie, as well as Italian celebrities and artists such as the writer Alessandro Manzoni, of all faiths. J'ai appris que ce cimetière faisait partie d'une route européenne des cimetières remarquables, comme le Père Lachaise je suppose.
Les caveaux sont imposants et impressionnants. La visite est surprenante allée après allée. Prevoir au moins 2 à 3 h pour pouvoir tout voir!
