PALAZZO LITTA
One of the most beautiful palaces in Milan located in front of the monastery of San Maurizio.
Dating back to the 17th century, Palazzo Litta, one of the most beautiful palaces in Milan, opposite the monastery of San Maurizio, dominates the Corso Magenta. Its construction was begun in 1648 by the will of Count Bartolomeo Arese, but the façade and a large part of the interiors were redesigned in 1763 in rococo style, the Italian rocaille. It was a fashionable place during the Austrian and Napoleonic occupation. In its courtyard you can see an imposing marble banister and a beautiful garden. The interior can only be visited on the occasion of temporary exhibitions.
