Museum installed in an old monastery exposing 30 models constituting Leonardo's inventions.
Milan could not forget its vocation as capital of industry and technology, an ancient tradition. So the city has rightly devoted this museum to Leonardo da Vinci, great engineer and Scientist. Set in a former monastery in the xvith century, in its Gallery of Leonardo, this museum displays 30 models which, according to original drawings, reconstruct some of the most daring inventions of Leonardo: war and flight machines, measuring and construction instruments, boats, bridges, churches, and even a fan and an ideal city are made available to visitors, who can have fun to manipulate them. The rest of the exhibition is in the same tone, with a collection dedicated to rail and carrier transport comprising 4 000 historic ships.
