STADIO SAN SIRO AND MUSEO INTER MILAN
Watching a match in this temple of soccer is a moment you will never forget; the tifosi are wild!
Welcome to the hallowed temple of Italian soccer! Inaugurated in 1926, the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, also known as San Siro, is Italy's largest and most legendary stadium, and home to both Inter Milan and its arch-rivals AC Milan. It stands out in Europe for the verticality of its stands, which make for impressive "walls" for players and fans alike. It can accommodate up to 80,000 spectators.
This stadium-museum is one of Lombardy's proudest achievements.
Open to visitors outside matches, the visit involves a climb to the third ring, 65 m high, to enjoy the view over the entire pitch. The visit continues with a tour of the Museo Inter & Milan, featuring a collection of over 3,000 items and relics (shirts, shoes, trophies, balls, photos of players autographed by historic names such as Pelé, Maradona, Rivera and others...) belonging to the history of Milan's two legendary teams, AC Milan and Internazionale. A visit to the Champions Tunnel, used by the teams as they descend onto the pitch, will be a real thrill for fans. The guided tour (booking recommended) is a real "milanaisime" moment not to be missed.
For fans wishing to attend a match, the schedule, timetable and bookings are available on the websites of both teams (www.inter.it and www.acmilan.com). Tickets cost between €50 and €150.
