MUSEO CIVICO ARCHEOLOGICO
Archaeological museum housing collections of Etruscan, Greek and Roman art in Milan.
The Archaeological Museum houses collections of Etruscan, Greek and Roman art in the picturesque setting of the former convent of San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore (8th century). Special attention is paid to the Roman Mediolanum, of which several remains are on display. The visit is worthwhile to admire some exceptional pieces such as the Coppa Trivulzio, a rare example of blown glass. Remains of the Roman walls that surrounded the city are also visible.
