Botanical garden with many specimens of rare and valuable plants.

The botanical garden and the astronomical observatory, which are annexes to the famous art gallery, complete the discovery of Brera. The botanical garden, commissioned by Maria Theresa of Austria, is an open-air oasis of greenery with many rare and precious plants, while on thefifth floor of the Palazzo, an intriguing gallery houses a fine collection of ancient astronomical instruments, including two telescopes used by Schiapparelli to observe the planet Mars.

Joli petit havre de paix où l'on peut voir les étudiants de l'école des Beaux-Arts travailler. Ne pas hésiter à se perdre dans les couloirs de ladite école d'ailleurs.

Certes, ce n'est pas le Royal Botanique Garden d'Edimbourg mais ce petit espace à l'arrière d'une faculté où sont rassemblés plusieurs essences de plantes médicinales est tout à fait charmant. A l'heure du midi, les étudiants s'assoient dans des sièges cosy disposés tout autour de la cour fermée pour réviser, discuter entre amis où se bécoter dans les endroits les plus discrets, là où la végétation est la plus dense. En faisant des vas et viens dans les allées parmi les potaches et les belles plantes, j'ai comme l'impression d'être le Drago Milenario de Tenerife et c'est non sans une certaine nostalgie que je me demande où sont passés mes 20 ans.
