GALLERY OF ITALY
The museum is a major centre of the Milanese art scene, with collections of paintings and sculptures.
This Mecca of the Milanese art scene opened its doors at the end of 2011. The majestic collections of paintings and sculptures of the Fondazione Cariplo and Intesa San Paolo banking groups occupy the salons of the sumptuous neoclassical Anguissola palace. Two sections: the first, dedicated to works of the 19th century, includes bas-reliefs by Canova, portraits by Hayez and landscapes by Girolamo Induno; the second, which focuses on modern and contemporary art, features artists such as Boccioni, Previati and Morbelli.
