PRADA FOUNDATION
Space located Largo Isarco revisited by the famous Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas.
Miuccia Prada's artistic passion is not limited to haute couture. A remnant of industrial archaeology, the space located at Largo Isarco, south of Milan, between Via Ripamonti and Corso Lodi, has been completely redesigned by the famous Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, in agreement with the designer. Inaugurated in May 2015, the Foundation has in a short time become a landmark bridge of cultural life in Milan. A former distillery now houses an impressive collection of contemporary art on more than 19,000m2. New buildings with sober and clean lines also house a cinema, a conference room, a children's area and spaces dedicated to temporary exhibitions and permanent collections. The spaces bring together the Prada family's private collections of contemporary art. The artists Robert Gober and Thomas Demand specifically created two works of art in direct "dialogue" with the rest of the building. Installed in the all-glass Atlas Tower and the Haunted House, whose façade is entirely covered in gold leaf, the permanent collections feature works by Jeff Koons, Louise Bourgeois, Damien Hirst, Carla Accardi, William Copley and many others, created from 1960 to the present. To be visited and browsed according to one's own desires, with no particular itinerary. Icing on the cake, the director Wes Anderson has recreated the atmosphere of the Milan cafés of yesteryear in the interior of a cafeteria, the Bar Luce.

On peut apprécier tout aussi bien l'architecture de la fondation, la navigation à l'intérieur des bâtiments et à l'extérieur entre les bâtiments que les expositions du moment...mais là c'est une affaire de goûts personnels.
Un café restaurant complète la visite.
