PIAZZA DEL POPOLO
Square in the north of the city with terraced tables overlooking the lake and the buildings
Formerly the market square, it was renamed during the last war. In the northern part of the town, facing the lake, stands the Casa del Podestà, a remarkably well-preserved 15th-century courthouse with original brick arches. There's also the Madonna di Piazza or Santa Marta church, a late 16th-century Mannerist building with a beautiful facade preceded by a staircase and pronaos. Terrace tables offer sunny views of the lake and buildings.
