Small town of Traffiume relatively frequented on weekends with beautiful gorges
In the small town of Traffiume, a twenty-minute walk from Cannobio, lies the Orrido di Sant'Anna. This is a magnificent gorge, with cliffs overhanging the impetuous waters of the torrent by more than a hundred metres, leading to a foaming waterfall. Close to the ravine, you'll admire the little church of Sainte-Anne, built in the 17th century and featuring frescoes and a beautiful high altar. It's a charming place, but can get quite crowded at weekends.
