The brainchild of Cristoforo Crespi, who hoped to emulate the palaces of Baghdad, the neo-Moorish Villa Crespi was built in 1879. A member of the Relais & Châteaux group, Villa Crespi boasts superb grounds that slope gently down to the lake. Just 600 m from the center of Orta, the establishment combines enchanting orientalism with modern comforts. The gourmet restaurant is run by chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo.

Il servizio è agile, cordiale ma estremamente preciso.
L’ambiente è elegante, sfarzoso, barocco. Peccato per la giornata uggiosa che non ha permesso alla location di brillare al sole.
Unica nota “stonata” il pavimento in parquet, un filo troppo rumoroso.
