Hotel with gourmet restaurant in a pleasant setting near the center of Orta.

Have you ever slept in a castle? If you can't stay there, the "villa" is well worth a visit. The brainchild of Cristoforo Crespi, who hoped to emulate the palaces of Baghdad, the neo-Moorish Villa Crespi was built in 1879. A member of the Relais & Châteaux group, Villa Crespi boasts superb grounds that slope gently down to the lake. Just 600 m from the center of Orta, the establishment combines enchanting orientalism with modern comforts. The gourmet restaurant is run by chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo.

Good overall, they make an effort. Found the room very cold as they waited for us to arrive before switching on the heating.
One thing I will never understand are those hotels that kick you out before lunch, and 11 am check out is brutal
