BASILICA DI SAN FEDELE
Basilica with a very original plan for its irregularity in Como.
It stands on one of the most picturesque squares in the city. A building of early-Christian origin, it has a very original plan due to its irregularity. The nave, the two aisles and the apses of the choir and the transepts each have different measurements, with no concern for symmetry. The façade was redesigned at the beginning of the 20th century in a neo-Romanesque style, while the interior was reinterpreted in the Baroque period. Inside, note in the first chapel on the right a beautiful fresco of 1504, work of the painter Giovanni Andrea De Magistris.
