A family affair dating back to 1912, it owes its renown to the house recipes passed on to new generations and still written on the locanda menu. The locanda is located just a stone's throw from the lakeshore, in an old mansion that has retained its charm of yesteryear. In front of the entrance, under old lime trees, a pretty terrace with a few tables to enjoy the fine weather. It's the ideal setting for discovering La Casa' s fish and meat specialties. All food is exclusively local and regional!

Il Grifo is a traditional family-run inn located in Lenno, on the shores of Lake Como, in the historic village of Campo. It's an ideal base for exploring the town of Lenno. The hotel has 7 comfortable rooms, 2 of which have private balconies with views of Monte Crocione and Monte Sacro d'Ossuccio. Each room has a private bathroom and flat-screen satellite TV. The Trattoria del Grifo restaurant serves typical Lake Como cuisine. House specialities include polenta with missoltini, perch risotto and delicious paradell, all of which are sure to please. During the summer season, you can enjoy them in the garden. What's more, the restaurant's carefully decorated dining room can be used for a variety of events. A charming cellar with a wide selection of wines is also available on site.

Etwas kompliziert war die ständige Parkplatzsuche. Direkt am Hotel ist ein größerer Parkplatz, der kostenfrei genutzt werden kann. Jedoch werden keine Plätze für Hotelgäste freigehalten, jeder kann diesen öffentlichen Parkplatz nutzen. Daher ist dieser Parkplatz auch meist ausgefüllt und man muss sich auf die Suche begeben, meist landet man dann auf kostenpflichtigen Parkplätzen. Auch hatte man generell vom Hotel eine höhere Erwartungshaltung auf Grund der Präsentation im Netz, es ist alles einfach und funktionell.
Alles in allem waren wir jedoch zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt für 5 Nächte.
