BASILICA DI SAN GIACOMO
Church of St. James in Bellagio, a testimony of Romanesque-Lombardic art.
The Church of St. James in Bellagio is a superb example of Romano-Lombard art, dating back to the 12th century and built by the master architects of Como(Maestri Comacini). On the way when visiting Bellagio on foot, it is worth entering it. Inside you can admire mosaics from the beginning of the XX century, a beautiful altar from the XVI century and a beautiful polychrome wooden statue representing Christ, made by an artist of the Spanish Baroque school. Outside you can also enjoy the beautiful square on which it is built.
