DON ABBONDIO
Old-fashioned hotel in the hamlet of Pescarenico, reminiscent of the novel The Betrothed by Manzoni.
A small old-fashioned hotel, with its reception counter with hanging keys, its woodwork that smells like shoe polish and its rooms with an old-fashioned charm. We like its location in the heart of the hamlet of Pescarenico, where everything reminds us of the novel The Betrothed of Manzoni. It is considered one of the most important works of Italian literature. It tells the complicated story of the two fiancés, Renzo and Lucia, against the historical backdrop of Lombardy in the 17th century. Note the prints that decorate the rooms of the hotel: they are scenes from the novel.

L’odore era persistente e fastidioso e, a mio avviso, inaccettabile.
