Museum located in an old weaving house of the eighteenth century in Lecco.
Located in a former 18th-century weaving house, surrounded by a mulberry garden, the Musée de Garlate exhibits discoveries, inventions and machines linked to silk production, from silkworms and their caterpillars to the finished fabric. Along the way, you'll discover the main stages in the manufacture of this precious fabric. Most of the exhibits are from the Werner and Margaret Abegg collection. A fun, educational museum for young and old alike.
