VILLA MANZONI
Villa hosting the Museo Manzoniano and the Municipal Art Gallery in Lecco.
Today Villa Manzoni is home to the Museo Manzoniano and the Municipal Art Gallery, as well as a library and photo library. Former residence of the Manzoni family for almost two centuries, the beautiful building was then sold to the Scola family in 1818. It was here that the great writer Alessandro Manzoni (1785-1873) spent his entire childhood. He is considered one of the greatest Italian writers. The museum dedicated to him exhibits in 10 rooms paintings, manuscripts, objects and archives that belonged to the novelist.
