Great place to stay in Varenna, close to the train station, city center and right in front of the ferry/boat dock as well. The lady at the reception is also nice and friendly and the rooms are lovely.

Waking up to the beautiful lake view and lovely breakfast with freshly made croissants were the highlight of our stay.

Ps: its worth waking up at 7:30 to grab those croissants once theyre made right out of the oven ????????????

Titti is such a wonderful host! The coffee and beer while looking at the passengers embark on the ferry with the surrounding mountains makes this feel like a scene from studio ghibli. I'm happy to have stopped in for a breather before going to the castle.

The location is soooo good. It’s right by the ferry (if you don’t mind the loud horns it’s perfect and you can’t really hear it at night). It’s also right by town center so you barely have to walk anywhere to get to where you’re going.

The staff were incredible and sweet. There’s a young girl, I don’t know her name, but she was very very accommodating when we showed up with one extra person. She gave us a rollaway bed (although it was the most uncomfortable bed of my life) for the next night.

The check out is 10 am though so it’s earlier than usual so note that.

Breakfast was delicious even though the selection was on the smaller side.

Highly recommend their sister restaurant Locanda Cavellino, best food we had in Italy.

Ieri gita in moto sul lago..verso le 13 con mia nipote decidiamo x un panino. Ci sediamo al bar di fronte ai traghetti ed ordiniamo un maxi toast ed un panino ortolano. AGGHIACCIANTE.Nel panino c'erano 3 dischetti di zucchina e 2 pezzettini di melanzana.Il maxi toast che ho mangiato io 3 fette di un prosciutto cotto o spalla ,di quelle quadrate, ed un vago sentore di formaggio. Il peggior toast della mia esistenza che dura da 60 anni. Il prezzo 7euro è 50. Giuro che non ho discusso perché c'era mia nipote. State alla larga. Cameriere gentilissimo e professionale.

Great location. Right by the train station and directly in front of the ferry station. Employees were wonderful. I only wish I was warned about the lights on the street. They should have some sort of curtains to block the light from the ferry terminal, which is right in front. Also, the noise level. Stay on the top floor if possible. Otherwise, a great experience.

Beautiful property by the lake, with incredible views. The owners are extremely warm people, they ensured we had a comfortable stay. We stayed for 2 nights at this beautiful place in Varenna.

Albergo carino (forse i bagni da rinnovare), colazione buona e vista sicuramente stupenda. Molto comodo il parcheggio. Ho avuto però una pessima esperienza con la gestione del cliente: alle 4 del mattino l'interruttore del riscaldamento ha iniziato a vibrare/fischiare e non ha smesso fino alle 8 rendendo un incubo la mia notte.

La mattina me ne sono lamentato (di notte non c'è nessuno al centralino che risponde né numeri di emergenza), chiaramente si sono scusati (ma il proprietario forse perché >60 diceva di non sentire nulla..), ma mi hanno anche detto che ho il sonno leggero e forse l'acufene. Non dico che mi sarei aspettato di non pagare la stanza, ma uno sconto o qualche altro pensiero sì. Nonostante la gentilezza direi quindi non proprio una gestione professionale del cliente.

موظفين غير متعاونين للاسف واعتقد ان لديهم عنصريه !! احتجت الحمام للضرورة القصوى و لم يكن الحمام عند الحديقة مفتوح كان مغلق للصيانه لكن للاسف لم يكن لديهم انسانيه و لم يسمحو لي بالدخول لاي حمام عام لديهم !!!

Great stay at Varenna-Esino-Perledo, Lake Como!

Beautiful hotel with comfortable bed and delicious breakfast! The host and hotel crews were also very friendly and accommodating!

Strongly recommended stay for anyone who wishes to put up a few nights here!

L'Hotel gode di una posizione eccellente e il personale è estremamente disponibile, tuttavia mi aspettavo di più considerando il prezzo pagato. La struttura storica è stata ben ristrutturata, ma alcuni dettagli lasciano a desiderare. Purtroppo, il bagno presentava problemi di pressione dell'acqua, rendendolo utilizzabile solo parzialmente. Fare la doccia con un filo d'acqua è inaccettabile, specialmente considerando il costo. Speravo in una maggiore attenzione ai servizi e ai dettagli per un'esperienza più soddisfacente.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. Our room was located, not in the main hotel but behind the Locanda Cavallino restaurant. We had our own private balcony. The room was designed in a contemporary style. It was very clean with a rainfall shower head. Amazingly, the windows are soundproof. The staff was very professional and polite.
