I received an email from Adriano and Maurizio before arriving, both replied immediately to any questions about nearest water taxi spot, check out times etc. we arrived late and they’d left out key on a shelf in the foyer with details of where our room was.
Overall an excellent base for our stay, with a comfortable bed, wonderful en-suite bathroom. Highly recommend this place for a couples weekend away in Venice
The hotel is located just 20 mins. from the main train station by foot or by taking the waterboat which would take 16 mins. + walking time.
The hotel was relatively easy to find and was in an excellent location with lots of restaurants and shops. The check in went relatively fast and were shown immediately to our room.
My main concern was that the rooms looked dated and tacky. Upon arriving in Venice and checking into the room I immediately got the vibe and understood the whole feel. The room was charming with very venetian furniture, big and clean. We had a room facing another building so no great view – but this turned out to be good since it's probably very noisy facing the street. Venice is full – and I mean full of tourists.
We stayed just for one night but would happily recommend this hotel or would book it again if ever we come back again and are looking for a central hotel with good value.
The prices are cheap compared to most hotels in Venice, an ideal location (two steps from the Rialto bridge and less than a 10 minute walk from the St Marc square).
The atmosphere is family rooms are clean and with a decoration in the Venetian style, some have views of a typical little canal (with a small fee).
I recommend everyone!
