A small osteria with 10 tables warmly recommended to devour a tendrous Florentine rib of beef with several people.

It's hard to find such a confined restaurant, with barely ten tables, tucked away in the Belles-Femmes alley, not far from Palazzo Strozzi. The owner, a fan of the first color postcards, has added to his collection of other period objects. Atypical atmosphere, admittedly a bit busy. But after all, the real show is in the plate! Elegant waiters assist a generally family and rather international audience. The place is recommended to devour a good rib of beef alla fiorentina.

My husband and I stumbled across this cute little place as we noticed a group of people taking advantage of their operating wine window. We had no reservation but were lucky enough to come at a time when others were leaving, and the waiter quickly accommodated us. The restaurant atmosphere is excellent; dimly lit, cosy and full of wine bottles and plants! I loved it. I ordered the risotto with gorgonzola, radicchio and fresh truffle – one of my standout dishes! My husband enjoyed an equally as tasty stew with polenta. Dessert and a lemoncello topped of a truly memorable dining experience, do not pass this place by!

What fun! Wine from a hole in the wall. Had a lovely glass of prosecco (glass, not plastic as some reviews say). Knock on the tiny door and make your order.

Came for the wine window experience. Ordered 3 Limencello spritz drinks and a glass of prosecco. the drinks were lack luster. Our glasses were also very dirty and there were lots of things floating in our cups. Cool experience though.
