Located in the ancient village of Varlungo, just five minutes from the historic center, il Vecchio Cigno is a great opportunity to get off the beaten track and enjoy authentic, affordable cuisine in a Florentine atmosphere. Situated on the banks of the Arno, it's an old Tuscan house that has retained its rustic style. Natural cuisine based on fresh produce for typically Florentine dishes: fresh pasta, meat cooked over the coals in front of the customers and, to finish, homemade cakes. A must for gourmets!

Cena con amici. Carino il giardino. Buono l'antipasto del cigno soprattutto la mozzarella in carrozza per niente unta. Peccato per la grigliata con bistecca di buona qualità ma arrivata fredda quasi ghiaccia . Gentilmente il cameriere, probabilmente consalevole , ci ha portato per rimediare una entracote, buona ma che non compensa la delusione della bistecca. Inoltre ci ha detto che c'erano le patate nella grigliata già comprese, ma erano veramente una a testa . Inoltre e non di poco conto ,dotatevi di coltelli da bistecca, quelli comuni non sono idonei. Il dolce , nido del cigno, calorie aggiunte senza gusto.

Ristorante insufficiente sotto vari aspetti.. pulizia (tovaglie non propriamente pulite), qualità del cibo (verdure grigliate senza un filo di condimento, primi affogati), presentazione (tovaglioli di carta stile coop) e servizio (non si può sentire urlare dalla cucina di continuo).. peccato perché il posto meriterebbe di più.. non dó una stella per l'educazione dei camerieri e per il prezzo tutto sommato onesto..

Ristorante situato vicino al Tuacany Hall di Firenze dove eravamo a vedere lo spettacolo di Maurizio Battista del 03/04/23.
Comodo sia per arrivarci in quanto vicino all’uscita della superstrada ed anche per il parcheggio vista la grande disponibilità lungo la strada.
Ci hanno servito in pochissimo tempo ed i piatti erano tutti buoni, tipica cucina toscana anche abbondanti, nel nostro caso antipasto toscano con affettati e formaggi, un antipasto di palline di pasta fritta con stracchino e prosciutto crudo, come primi abbiamo optato per un tagliolino al tartufo e dei ravioli mugellanj al ragù, per finire una panna cotta ed un cheesecake alla fragola.
60€ in due.
Consigliatissimo.
