Florence's beloved chef, Fabio Picchi, has been maintaining his gastronomic legend since 1979 with his cult address, Cibrèo.

Since 1979, the Picchi family has been making classic Italian hors d'oeuvres a thing of the past with a series of culinary inventions. Their chef, Fabio Picchi, has the look of an artist and has been maintaining his gastronomic legend for 45 years. For the less fortunate, Il Cibrèo also has a trattoria on the corner of the same street, a café, and the latest addition: Ciblèo Tortelli e Ravioli, with its sweet Japanese flavours (at number 2 on the same street). It has to be said that the quality of the products here is not to be trifled with, and the homemade bread is to die for!

It’s tasty, but it’s super extra hyper overpriced. I paid €17 for a strong cappuccino and three small pastries. They charged me five euro for a cappuccino with double shot of espresso inside. So one Coffee, five dollars. They actually have prices on the board but it’s not true because it’s for standing and it’s not anywhere. Waiters were polite and explained everything I paid. Of course but I was very mad

The meal was divine- beautifully plated, perfectly cooked. The staff was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. You were able to enjoy the meal with out being rushed. A lovely relaxed dinner in a quiet, gorgeous dining room.

Went to this place as a backup since Pizzaiuolo was full and we had no reservation. Sitting down, the idea that the restaurant was meant to be fancy was immediate, yet confusing with the weird tropical lampshades and generally lackluster decor. The servers were very friendly and we received a free tomato basil pudding which was quite good if tiny. The selection on the menu was tiny, not uncommon for a restaurant like this. We ordered the prosciutto as a starter. It tasted fine, like any prosciutto we had gotten elsewhere, except this one was 25€. We then ordered the first plates, the timboli pasta and the fish soup of the day. We got the food in a reasonable amount of time and found it to be unreasonably mediocre. The fish soup tasted like fish soup, it wasn't anything special, and the pasta was overloaded with nothing but cheese. The flavor had no depth or nuance it was just like stuffing a wad of melted cheese in your mouth. Neither dish tasted bad per se, but with each one being just under 30€ you would expect higher quality. The service was wonderful, but I can't recommend a restaurant on service alone.

I must say for Michelin Guide recommendation this place still have a lot of work to do, the service was extremely slow, during our 3 hours in the restaurant after ordering everything within 10 mins. Not once did anyone stop by and ask how we doing or how is the food. When it came to the actual food, beside home made pasta the rest of it was mediocre without any flavours unless it was over salted or acidic. I say I definitely was disappointed. I think in my 3 weeks in Italy, visiting 10 different cities from North to South and 40 restaurants. This wins the worse restaurant award

When traveling and dining alone one relies on the kindness and the art of hospitality of the local gastronomers. It was last minute, when I was able to get a seat for dinner at Cibrèo Ristorante - following a recommendation from the Guide Michelin.
It was a perfect dinner for one - with attentive and warmhearted service, an excellent kitchen brigade whose meals were memorable - everything was masterfully prepared to absolute satisfaction.
The wine menu as well as the wine recommendations by the sommelière had rounded the entire night to a great experience and a wanting to go back every night.
Grazie and bravo to the entire staff for making this a wonderful night out!
