The local bread, schiacciata, is garnished with the ingredients of your choice (the selection is vast: cheeses, sausages, vegetables, homemade creams such as those with truffles or artichokes). Be creative! Otherwise, choose the best-seller: the Favolosa. Some even say that if you didn't go to All'Antico Vinaio, you didn't really go to Florence.

Fare 25 minuti di fila ne vale assolutamente la pena per assaggiare una delle loro deliziose focacce, hanno tante varietà di scelta e le porzioni sono più che abbondanti! Una tappa fissa per chiunque decida di venire a Firenze

Worth the hype - this sandwich spot is so popular, they have 3 identical standalone restaurants on the same block. And yes, while you can get it in NY, it’s much more expensive there and a much better experience to see the original. The sandwiches are huge and at a solid price, would eat for lunch every day if we could. Of the San Marco and Manolo, would definitely recommend the Manolo, especially if you’re a fan of truffle. Would also recommend splitting it since it’s so big!
